This app blows away mpod
I have been a long time linux music server user based on mpd or Logitech Media Server. My problem with mpd is that remote control apps on iOS are mediocre at best.
Recently I discovered that the *sound quality* of Windows Server Essentials 2012 surpasses all the other OSes, when properly configured (yes, that is right). Long story short: Im evaluating Windows Server 2012 with Foobar2000 and wasapi component as a replacement for 5 years of Linux sound.
After enabling firewall access for Foobar2000 and installing the required component, remote control works like an out of the box experience.
What makes me really, really excited is that this app is the first one I know supporting composer tags. With a library of classical music, this is the first time Im able to open the app and look for something Strauss, no other app offered me this feature. Thank you so very much!
